DePuy ASR Hip Implant - Medico-Legal Conference Update

A Medico-Legal Conference was held on 8th January to discuss potential health issues for people who received a DePuy ASR hip implant.

This defective implant is the subject of a recent recall and has potential health issues for 3,500 people in Ireland.


Expert speakers Dr. Thomas Joyce, reader in biotribology at the School of Mechanical and Systems Engineering, Newcastle University and Mr. Langton joined Malcomson Law, Managing Partner Raymond Bradley at this Conference. Dr. Joyce is from Newcastle University's School of Mechanical and Systems Engineering and Mr. Langton is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon.
