Client Liaison

Name: Rosemary Daly
Positon: Client Liaison Representative
Office: Dublin, Carlow
As a legal firm specialising in health law, Malcomson Law is keenly aware that many of its clients come to its offices in Carlow and Dublin with complex and sensitive experiences.
In the recent past, the firm's solicitors have dealt with traumatic cases involving medical negligence, terminal illnesses and abuse in residential institutions.
Questions about people's experiences often bring to the surface difficult and emotional feelings, and it is important to recognise the personal impact of these feelings. Sometimes nobody has told their story to anyone before, not least a stranger in a solicitor's office.
Malcomson Law has recognised this, and have appointed a dedicated person to work closely with the clients involved in these traumatic cases.
Rosemary Daly has been appointed as Client Liaison Representative for Malcomson Law, to ensure that clients can have a special person who's not a solicitor, to answer questions, liaise with solicitors and be sensitive to the complex issues involved.
Rosemary has a unique record of working in this area. She had a central role in the Irish Haemophilia Society, centrally involved in the Lindsay and Finlay Tribunals, and the Hepatitis C and HIV Compensation Tribunal, working closely with members giving evidence there.
Furthermore, Rosemary was the personal contact for many members and their families going through the traumatic experiences of watching people die from HIV-related illnesses, contracted from infected blood products.
She's also worked with the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre. Her experiences gives her a unique understanding of people going through crisis and trauma.
