Early Redemption Fee

This is a fee associated with the early termination of a mortgage (before the full term is complete).

EAT

Employment Appeals Tribunal. A statutory body established to deal with and adjudicate on employment disputes.

A person, firm or other entity which pays for or hires the services of another person.

An application to court without notice to the other side in the proceedings.

Exchange of Contracts

Where both buyer and vendor are legally bound to the transaction.

Employees have the right to work for another employer in their spare time provided that this does not conflict with their duties, including fidelity and confidentiality.
