FOREIGN WILLS AND FOREIGN PROPERTY

When you buy a property abroad there are several pitfalls to avoid as far as your will is concerned.

Firstly, most people nowadays take out a will in the country in which they buy the property. In doing so, it is important to ensure that you do not inadvertently revoke your Irish will. Equally, you must ensure that your Irish will does not revoke your foreign one.
And it is important to ensure that owning property and other assets abroad does not make you liable for a tax in Ireland.

At Malcomson Law, we can guide you through the pitfalls of these dealings.

For further information, please contact Malcomson Law by calling 01 8744422 or complete an Online Enquiry Form. Your enquiry will be forwarded to a solicitor who specialises in the area of Private Client.
