Cosmetic Surgery Regulation

More and more people in Ireland are having cosmetic surgery. However, there is very little legislation regulating the practices of cosmetic surgeons (many of whom are located abroad) who undertake procedures in this country.

Many people who undergo Cosmetic Surgery underestimate or are not properly informed that there are many risks involved. As a result, some are very disappointed if the results expected are not achieved. Tragically, when cosmetic surgery goes wrong, it can have horrific consequences.

Cosmetic Surgery Injuries

These are some of the problems that can result in a Cosmetic Surgery claim for damages:

  • Nerve Injury
  • Skin Loss
  • Scarring
  • Infection
  • Botox-related problems
